One of my highlights of last year was meeting two people who have had such a sweet impact on my life. From Zach’s initial email laced with sarcasm, he gained a deep respect and admiration from my husband who fields all the inquiries. My introduction was in the form of a marathon engagement session freckled with laughter that ended with a midnight dinner at Friday’s, where they invited me into the sacred story of their life together. The wedding came the same week I was made painfully aware of the gravity of my job which left me just that much more affected by the joy, tears, and miracles that surrounded Zach and Jung. Although they were not aware of it, I needed them to get married that weekend. Their unwavering trust in me left me free to breathe in every moment and to experience every emotion (sometimes to the point of tears). Their continued friendship and belief in me is what makes my job heaven on earth.
Their rehearsal lunch was held at the Apache Trout Grill on the bay in glorious Traverse City, Michigan. Simply linking to them has me craving the Roasted Brie and Goat Cheese Dip as well as the Shrimp and Lobster Bisque…mmm… ok, focus. Following lunch, we headed over to Crooked Creek Ranch for the rehearsal. Both the rehearsal and wedding were planned by my dear friend Alicia Caldecott of A Day In May Events. I couldn’t have imagined anyone better for Zach and Jung. Alicia really is THE go to girl for all of Northern Michigan. Can’t wait to show you how the wedding festivities came to a close (hint: it involved Russian dancing!)… but for now, a peak at the rehearsal.

Jung likes to make an entrance

Pretty sure this bag made Alicia's day!

Arriving at the ranch

Overseeing construction of the chuppah

Adored Jung's grandma who didn't speak a lick of English. Pretty sure that didn't matter.

She stole my heart.
